Walking at the beach = strong calves


We just had a wonderful 3-day beach weekend with my parents and got very lucky with the weather! Lots of time to relax and not think about the fact that I turned 37. Eeek!

The Long Beach Peninsula has a great trail you can take through the grassy sand dunes and you can also cut down to the beach to work out those calves. Each day I got at least a 3-mile walk in, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. I can definitely feel the beach walks in my left calf, at the point where the tear is/was. I think that's a good sign?

Hoping this week will be more productive than last week. I'm looking forward to seeing the physical therapist on Wednesday!
